Inc, agreed to pay US$85.14 million to resolve litigation brought by 48 US states alleging it concealed safety issues related to the airbags in its vehicles which were supplied by Takata Corp. Ruptures of the frontal airbag systems in the company's vehicles have resulted in at least 14 deaths and over 200 injuries in the US alone.
