In 2012 WWF Italy worked with Mutti to calculate the water footprint of its production, from tomato cultivation to finished product. Mutti is the first Italian company, and one of the few in the world, to undertake such a study. The water footprint analysis has led Mutti to commit to reduce its water footprint by 3 per cent by 2015.
