Ginger & macadamia products

Founded as a co-operative in 1941 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1989. Bought US macadamia business MacFarms in 2008. Macadamia products account for 60% of total revenue. 33.5% owned by Chinese investment firm Asia Mark Development Ltd. Sold their ginger and tourism business assets to Queensland's Himstedt family for $13 million in 2020.

Environment ecoBiz Partner (QLD)
With the help of an ecoBiz rebate, Buderim Ginger installed a Sessil Trickling filter system to reduce the cost of disposing water, and a Membrane Batch reactor to reduce their total water usage. Coupled with the new energy reducing technologies they installed for their ventilation, air conditioning and boiler system, Buderim Ginger have significantly reduced both their environmental impact and their resource costs. ecoBiz is the Department of Environment and Resource Management's eco-efficiency partnership program with Queensland Business.
