In 2011 Bostik's US division was fined $917,000 by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for 50 alleged violations of workplace safety standards following an explosion earlier in the year. Among the 50 violations OSHA alleges, nine were deemed "willful violations," which are the most serious OSHA levies.
