In 2019 US Gamer interviewed former employees of NetherRealm Studios (owned by WB Games), who said the studio fosters a particularly stressful, and sometimes hostile environment, for contract employees. The studio has also been accused of paying minimum wage, stringing temp workers along with hopes of a full-time position, and brutal overtime.
