Founded 1993 by James Dyson who invented the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner. Also design and manufacture fans and heaters, lighting products, hand dryers and tools. In 2015 they sold 90% of their products outside the UK.

This company was a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant, a voluntary agreement to encourage waste minimisation. However in 2018 they were withdrawn for not meeting one or more of their APCO Member obligations.

Social Misleading advertising
This company was required to amend some of its advertisements after being taken to the Advertising Claims Board by its competitor Samsung Electronics Australia. The Board found Dyson had breached advertising standards.

On 30 October 2015, this company and LG Australia settled a legal suit out of court with Dyson Australia agreeing to remove specific advertising claims relating to the power of its V6 cordless vacuums. LG Australia initiated proceedings on 12 October 2015 in the Federal Court of Australia against Dyson Australia's marketing claims.
