In 2003 Sigma Company acquired Herron Pharmaceuticals and Chemists' Own. Then in 2005 Sigma Company Ltd and Arrow Pharmaceuticals Ltd merged to form Sigma Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In 2010 Sigma's pharmaceuticals division was acquired by Aspen Pharmacare, with Sigma retaining pharmacy chain stores Guardian and AMCAL.
