Founded in 2004, the company designs, develops, manufactures and markets consumer electronics. It entered the smartphone market in 2008 and made its name selling phones in its retail network in rural China with 200,000 stores by 2016. From 2010 it expanded into South East Asia and India. In June 2016, ranked by shipments, it was the second largest smartphone company in China and in the top five globally.

Consumer electronics Founded by Duan Yong Ping in 1995, the company researches, develops, produces and sells consumer electronics. It has 10 hectares of manufacturing factories, 3 brands of smartphones (OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus) and a new brand IMOO which includes a phone watch for tracking children and a smart phone aimed as the education market. In May 2017, it was the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the world with its OPPO and Vivo brands. |
